November 9th and 10th

Pomona, a little different to say the least. No firing of unmuffled bikes before 11:00 or after 17:00. No test & tune & no track lighting. Friday we were all allowed 2 qualifying passes & for our crew the stress levels were high dealing with carb & electrical problems. The carbs were switched out & the wiring problem solved. Saturday the Pro's were pushed through in 6 short hours. The weather, though chilly, did cooperate as far as wind & rain goes.

The short version of the long story is that is that Smitty was able to eliminate the very tough competition & take the win. As of this point in time we are #1 in the Western Division & #5 in the nation with 143 points. A hearty thanks to our Sponsors & Crew for making this goal possible. I will post pictures, if anyone had a camera, as soon as I receive them.

The Victori Promotions Group was on hand to release the first prints of the “Verl Smith Sponsor Promo Bike” poster. I am told it was quite popular with both the spectators as well as professional builders. Due to problems with transportation the promo bike was not on hand as we had planned. The Victori Promotions Group people are the folks that did the “2007 – 2008 Bikes of the AHDRA calendar”. Great bike shots with beautiful models - check it out on our site under friendly links.

The Las Vegas finals are scheduled for next weekend & we are expecting a great turn out of racers & spectators alike – thats Vegas. Hope to see you all there.
